TESTIMONIALS

  • Ryan is an excellent physio who has really helped my recovery from microdiscetomy. Ryan is a standout physio in London who is detailed and very technique focused, this approach has been very helpful for me to progress with recovery and is in stark contrast to a number of other physios I saw previously who were far less detailed. Additionally Ryan has kept up dialogue throughout my recovery process with both my surgeon and osteopath to ensure alignment in recovery. Overall I cannot recommend Ryan highly enough and he has been critical to my recovery.

    - Charles B

  • I came to Ryan after a neck injury led to a rather disconcerting MRI scan, from which I was told by a third party that I should consider stopping all meaningful forms of exercise. Ryan helped to offer an alternate viewpoint on how interpretations of scans varies from person to person. He shared how with the right rehab/strengthening routine, and by learning to manage pain (as opposed to not moving in fear of further aggravating it) - my active lifestyle did not have to stop. He’s highly insightful in diagnosis and treatment - really recommend especially for those who want to strike a balance between recovering and staying active on a sustainable basis!

    - Donna K

  • I suffered from low back pain many years and didn’t improve since I met Ryan. His dry needling technique and exercises he recommended certainly helped to release the pain in just 3 sessions so far. Highly recommend him.

    - Cherry H

  • Ryan and the team have helped me tremendously with my neck, back and shoulder pain. I am someone who is very particular about who I see and have to be careful because some treatments can flare my symptoms. I’m always in safe hands. Ryan always ensures I leave happy and free from pain. Can’t recommend enough!

    - Emma C

  • Because of low back pain, I was unable to participate in sports. After Ryan's assessment and rehabilitation on how to avoid injury, it gradually improved. Thank you for your careful and detailed explanation

    - Ada L (translated from Google)

  • I visited Ryan for neck and lower back pains caused by scoliosis. He provided the best care which included targeted massages and dry needling and the results of it is life changing. Now I’d recommend Ryan and his dry needling to everyone who needs it. Ryan also showed me stretches which I could do at home to ease the neck and back pains..

    - Jane H

  • Ryan came recommended already and I can see why. He really took the time to understand what my issue was and gave me confidence that I would be back on form again quickly. He introduced me to needling which for this gweilo was a bit weird at first but it definitely helped with some major muscle tightness and sped up my recovery. Excellent!

    - John M

  • Ryan has been my go-to physio since 2020 before he started Physiologic. He had treated my ankle, back and shoulder issues over the years. He is extremely thorough and attentive and I have recommended him to all my friends when needed.

    - Tommy P

  • I was under Ryan’s care for nearly four months and have experienced significant progress on my back injury. Ryan takes an all round approach to treatment, incorporating exercise, hands on therapy and general education into his treatment programs. His approach with myself was bespoke in nature and was able to take myself from barely able to walk to being on the right track to recovery. Would highly recommend!

Spinal Solutions Program - clinical spinal assessment

1: The Assessment

The first step is to assess YOU. We want to be able to
1: Diagnose ‘what’ hurts. Is it the Joint? Muscle? Disc? As part of our physical assessment, we may put you through our Spinal Benchmark test, which will narrow down which muscle groups in your core that could be leading to your condition.
2: Figure out ‘why’ it hurts - what caused your injury?
3: Explain to you what hurts and why, so that you understand your condition.
We’ll also discuss the roadmap of how we’re going to help you overcome your injury to achieve your goals.

Athletic Rebuild Program - return to sport assessment

2: The Program

From our assessment, we’ll commence our 1:1 structured exercise program that targets the root cause of your issue. We’ll also carry out any treatments that’s deemed necessary.
The Spinal Solutions Program works best when you commit to 2 sessions/week, which gives your body all the help it needs to be restored.
Over the 6 week timeframe, your exercise program will gradually progress as will your strength, mobility, and confidence to move.

Sessional Physiotherapy - one to one treatment session

3: After the program

At the end of your 6 week program, you would have mastered the fundamental exercises you’ll need for long term spinal health.
Many of our Spinal Solutions graduates will continue their 1:1 sessions with us on a weekly basis to ensure they continue to make further progress, setting new goals they once dreamed of.
Whether you decide to continue with us or go independently, we’ll set you up with a new program that builds on the past 6 weeks of hard work you’ve done.

Frequently asked questions

Is spinal pain always caused by disc damage?

No. While discs can be involved, most spinal pain is influenced by a combination of movement patterns, loading tolerance, muscle capacity, and nervous system sensitivity. Many people have disc changes on scans without pain, and many people with pain have no significant structural damage. Effective spinal rehabilitation focuses on function and capacity, not just imaging findings.

How long does spinal rehabilitation usually take?

This depends on the duration and complexity of your symptoms. Acute episodes may settle within weeks, while persistent or recurrent spinal pain often requires a structured rehabilitation approach like our Spinal Solutions Program over several months. The goal isn’t just pain reduction, but restoring confidence, strength, and long-term resilience.

Is exercise safe for back or neck pain?

Yes — when appropriately prescribed. Avoiding movement often prolongs recovery. A key part of spinal rehabilitation is gradually reintroducing load and movement in a way that is matched to your current capacity and progressed over time. And in our spinal solutions program, we aim to get you back to doing things you love, whether thats running a 5km, lifting heavy in the gym, or just picking up your kids!

What’s the difference between general physiotherapy and spinal rehabilitation?

Spinal rehabilitation places greater emphasis on diagnosis, education, and structured progression. Rather than relying solely on passive treatment, it focuses on rebuilding spinal capacity and confidence through targeted exercise, load management, and long-term planning.

When should I see a specialist physiotherapist for spinal pain?

If your pain is persistent, recurrent, affecting sleep or daily function, or hasn’t improved despite previous treatment, seeing a physiotherapist who specialises in spinal conditions can make a significant difference to long-term outcomes.
